Legss – Doomswayers

if I was an american, my experiences, they would have shaped me/because I am british, they only make me tired’. legss is quickly rising to the forefront of post-brexit new wave, a genre expressing british/euro angst despising traditional, archaic thinking. these songs beg for the end of outdated ideals, through chest grabbing drum fills, strategizing guitar riffs, and scratchy throats that gurgle unheard cries for a change. pessimism, shame and disappointment remains foundational in this music. the london based four-piece beautifully encapsulates this anxiety in a project inspired and born from the pandemic – a time none of us would sooner return to.

Genre: shoegaze, dream pop, post-punk, noise poppost-punk, art punk, no wave, spoken word

RIYL: shame, squid, protomartyr
